A Different Kind of Magnetic Attraction
Magnetism draws
to itself that which shares its essence. For example, a magnet draws iron, not
aluminum because it is made of iron -- aluminum does not share that essence
with the magnet. The more essence it shares, the stronger the magnetic attraction
and connection.
Like is drawn to like, to what it has affinity with... Like is always recognised by like. – Hz. Inayat Khan
Our
attitudes, thoughts and emotions are “magnetized” by the heart and mind, and in
turn, these faculties are magnetized by breath and soul.
Therefore, if
left unchecked, what we think and feel, due to the law of magnetic attraction, draws
to us the same thoughts and feelings from others of like kind, i.e. those that
share the same essence. And we will find ourselves surrounded by people and
situations that share those same thoughts, feelings, and attitudes as we have
created in our mind and heart.
‘Birds of a feather flock
together’.
It is true
that what you think and feel (or fear), consciously or subconsciously, will be
drawn to you!
